It plugs into the port you already have
No wiring loom, no installer, no appointment. Find the diagnostic port, plug in the device, enter the MAC address printed on it. That is the installation.
Which port is in your truck
Three connector types cover the great majority of commercial vehicles on US roads. The port is usually under the dash on the driver's side, or beneath the steering column.

Y-cables ship with the device so the diagnostic port stays available for anything else that needs it. If you are unsure which port your vehicle carries, send the year, make and model and we will confirm before anything ships.
Three steps, no tools

Plug in the device
Locate the diagnostic port, connect the supplied cable, seat the device. The truck does not need to be running.

Pair over Bluetooth
Open the app on the driver's phone or tablet and enter the MAC address printed on the device.

Register the vehicle
Add the unit to the fleet in the app. From there, driving time records itself above 5 mph.
What it uses
Data
About 100 MB a month, against the 1 to 10 GB most cellular plans carry. It is not the line item anyone notices.
Offline
Device and app both run without a signal. A connection is needed to back up records or share them, not to stay compliant through a dead zone.
Driver hardware
The app runs on a phone. A tablet is the better screen for a full day and the one we recommend for drivers running long shifts.
Power
Drawn from the diagnostic port. Nothing to charge, nothing to remember.

The hardware records. The app is what the driver uses and what an officer reads at the roadside. Install it before the device arrives so pairing takes a minute rather than an afternoon.
Before you order
Will it fit my truck?
In most cases yes. It connects to standard 6-pin, 9-pin and OBD-II diagnostic ports, and harnesses are available for Mack and Volvo trucks built after 2013.
Do I lose the diagnostic port?
No. Y-cables ship with the device so the port remains available for other equipment.
How much data does it use?
About 100 MB a month, well within the 1 to 10 GB most cellular plans include.
Will it work on a phone?
It will. A tablet is the better screen for a full day of use, but the app runs on either.
